Privacy Policy
Riply Video Publisher · Last updated: 2026-10-04
This policy explains what Riply Video Publisher accesses, stores, and shares. It applies only to this tool. The Riply app has its own privacy policy: https://www.notion.so/34cf6b3308a6804d80aee2a5577801df
This tool uses YouTube API Services. Google's Privacy Policy applies to the data Google processes: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy . You must agree to this privacy policy before the tool can be used; the tool shows a summary and asks for agreement before Google sign-in.
What we access
With the permissions you grant through Google sign-in:
- Your YouTube channel's ID, name, and handle, to confirm the right channel before every upload. These are not stored.
- The title, visibility, and scheduled or published time of the channel's most recent uploads (up to 50), only when uploading or when checking an interrupted upload, to avoid duplicate uploads and to keep to 3 publications per day. These are not stored, except that a video found this way to be one of our interrupted uploads is recorded in the upload log like any other upload.
- The video files, titles, descriptions, and settings that you choose to upload, which are sent to YouTube.
What we store
Only on the operator's computer; never on a server, never in source control:
- The tool's OAuth client file, and the OAuth refresh token with the granted scopes and the version of this policy that was agreed to. They are readable only by the operator's computer user account.
- An upload log: for each upload, a hash and the size of the file, the internal name of the video, its title, and the upload time (used to prevent duplicate uploads and to enforce the upload limits); and the video ID, visibility, scheduled time, and processing status returned by YouTube. While an upload is unfinished, for example when it was interrupted, the upload address returned by YouTube is also kept, to resume it or to check how much has arrived. The data returned by YouTube is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days, deleted when the video no longer exists, and deleted at once if the authorization can no longer be refreshed.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or third-party content in this tool. This website is a static site and does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising either.
How we use and share it
Only to upload and schedule Riply's own videos and to show their status to the Riply team. The data is seen only by the operator and by the AI assistant that operates the tool for the operator (Claude, provided by Anthropic, which runs the tool and reads its on-screen output). We do not sell it or give it to anyone else.
Deleting your data and revoking access
- "forget --yes" deletes the upload log. "revoke --yes" revokes the Google authorization and deletes the token and the upload log (the tool's own OAuth client file is kept). Deletion is immediate (within 7 days at most).
- You can also revoke access at any time on Google's security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions . When access is revoked or can no longer be refreshed, we delete the token and the data returned by YouTube within 30 days (at once when the tool notices it; within 7 days after a revocation through the tool). Our own entries in the upload log (file hashes and sizes, internal names, titles, upload times) are kept to prevent duplicate uploads (they are deleted when you revoke with "revoke --yes"); "forget --yes" also deletes them.
- Deleting data in this tool does not delete anything on YouTube. To delete videos on YouTube, use YouTube Studio.
